Aluminum Alloy 1050

Aluminum sheet alloy 1050 (AD0) is commercially pure aluminum (minimum 99.5% Al), which is non-heat-treatable and is valued primarily for its high ductility, electrical conductivity, and excellent corrosion resistance. The price of aluminum sheet 1050 is determined on the London Metal Exchange (LME) and is subject to change daily.

• Composition: A pure cast aluminum alloy free of impurities, ≥99.5% Al.
• Formability: High ductility and electrical conductivity make it suitable for deep drawing, bending, and complex stamping applications; it is easily processed under pressure.
• Corrosion resistance: Maximum corrosion resistance due to the formation of a dense oxide film.
• Weldability: Excellent weldability using all welding methods (TIG, MIG, and gas welding).
• Machinability: Due to its high toughness, it is difficult to machine (mill, turn).
• Heat treatment: Alloy 1050 is not strengthened by heat treatment.
